Trapping
CQ SET uses two types of traps dependent on the location and accessibility. Portable Panel and Mesh traps with drop gates and the Jager Pro Feral Pig Trapping System.
All traps are secured in place and are fully removable and re-usable.
PORTABLE PANEL TRAPS
Portable panel traps use four welded panels secured at the corners with pickets to secure the trap together and to the ground to prevent animals from breaking through.
ROUND MESH PANEL TRAPS
Round mesh traps have a similar set up to the portable panel traps however are constructed from steel mesh that are bent back on itself (secured with pickets) to create a round circle. A drop gate is inserted and trip wire is used to trap the animals
JAGER PRO TRAPPING SYSTEM
The Jager ProTM Feral Pig Trapping System is a cutting-edge solution designed to capture entire feral pig mobs efficiently.
It features a large round panel trap equipped with a telemetrically triggered drop-down gate. This system can be integrated with an automatic feeder, luring pigs to the trap for feeding.
Over time, pigs become accustomed to the feeding site within the trap. Once the system detects that the entire mob has entered, as confirmed by a motion-activated camera, the gate drops, trapping them securely.
The traps are highly portable and can be customised in size to accommodate various locations and feral pig population densities.
