Catahoula hunting dogs
Dogs are highly effective tools for hunting feral pigs due to their exceptional abilities. Their keen sense of smell enables them to track pigs through dense vegetation and over long distances. Moreover, their agility and stamina allow them to outmaneuver pigs in challenging terrain.
CQ SET uses Catahoula leopard dogs, a breed chosen specifically for their hunting capabilities and enable us to find feral pigs that are hard to find or trap. Their unique attibutes make then an ideal breed for the harsh Central Queensland condfitions.
Our dogs are stock proof and trained to track and hunt pigs only. Our dogs specialise in bailing and can hold a pig for extended periods of time.
